3,4-Methylenedioxy-N-ethylamphetamine (MDEA, MDE; "Eve") is an entactogen, psychedelic, and stimulant of the phenethylamine and amphetamine chemical classes.

Like MDMA ("Ecstasy") and related methylenedioxyphenethylamines, MDEA acts as a serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine releasing agent.[1] It requires a slightly larger dose (100–180 mg) than MDMA (80–140 mg), with major effects lasting typically between 3–5 hours.[2][3]

The subjective effects of MDEA are very similar to those of MDMA. However, the euphoric and "loved up" feelings associated with MDMA are not as pronounced in comparison. The effects of MDEA are also not as stimulating as MDMA, as it is said to be somewhat stoning in high doses and may be responsible for rumors of heroin-laced MDMA tablets.
