Construction
The 23-km- (14.2-mi-) long Aqua Julia aqueduct of Marcus Agrippa [b. Italy, 63 bce, d. 12 bce], like the earlier Aqua Tepula, uses the arches of the Aqua Marcia as part of its route so that it can serve more elevated portions of the city of Rome.
