Biography

Although Portland, OR, rock band 44 Long's debut album, 1997's Collect Them All, was self-released, it still managed to sell well in the Northwest, and brought the band a fair amount of positive attention, enough to gain interest from Sideburn (an offshoot of Portland-based Burnside), who issued their second record, Inside the Horse's Head, in 1999. The band, comprised of singer and songwriter Brian Berg (former member of the Maroons and Oblivion Seekers), who also produced and played many of the instruments for 44 Long, bassist Eric Furlong, guitarist Andy Ricker, and drummer Cory Burden, didn't make another record until -- sans Furlong -- they came together again for 2006's Hangover Heights, Pt. 2. ~ Marisa Brown, Rovi
