4KQ is a commercial radio station in Brisbane, Australia owned by the Australian Radio Network. 4KQ began broadcasting on the 7th of May 1947 on 690 kHz AM moving to 693 kHz in 1978. 4KQ broadcasts from its studios in the Brisbane suburb of Stones Corner, along with its sister station 97.3 FM (Brisbane). It presents a Classic Hits format of music from the 60s, 70s and 80s, with some 90's, aimed at listeners 40 – 54 years of age.

Programming

4KQ's main programming component is their Classic Hits music format. News Bulletins are also aired hourly weekdays from 5am to 6pm, with an increased half hourly frequency during the Breakfast program. On weekends, these air from 6am to 12pm. Traffic reports are also aired hourly, with an increased 15 minute frequency during the weekday Breakfast program, and 20 minute frequency during the weekday Drive program.
