Ballet in one act with choreography by van Manen, music by Piazolla, and design by Vroom. Premiered 3 Nov. 1977 by Dutch National Ballet at Stadsschouwburg, Amsterdam, with S. Marchiolli and C. Farha. It is set to Piazolla's 5 Tangos for Bandoneon and is danced by seven couples. It has been revived by several companies, including Berlin Opera Ballet (1979), Stuttgart Ballet (1981), Sadler's Wells Royal Ballet (1982), Birmingham Royal Ballet (1991), and City Ballet of London (1999).
