Spanning two discs and two hours of up-tempo, no-attention-span dance music, 50,000,000 DJs Can't Be Wrong is a solid compilation, though narrowly focused on that brand of aggro-electronica sure to palpitate the hearts of ad-agency exec's all over the country. Most of the heaviest producers are present, and thankfully for those with most of the albums but not the singles, many of the biggest tracks are present in rarer remixes: Moby's "Natural Blues," Primal Scream's "Exterminator," Beastie Boys' "Body Movin'," Underworld's "King of Snake," Roni Size's "It's Jazzy," and Massive Attack's "Risingson," among others. There's only one or two independent producers to be found on the entire two discs, and some of the inclusions are downright embarrassing, led by BT's sorry attempt at star-making, "Never Gonna Come Back Down." Highlights are hard to pick, given the unrelenting pummeling listeners are given, but include Fatboy Slim's reworkings of the Beastie Boys and Underworld tracks mentioned above, plus the Howie B./Roots Manuva powerhouse on Leftfield's "Dusted." All in all, 50,000,000 DJs Can't Be Wrong is a perfect choice for parties or the between-sets PA at the nation's hippest venues, but a bit annoying anywhere else. ~ John Bush, Rovi
