Review

Rebound's 60's Rock Hits is almost what it says it is. A more accurate title might have been 60's Rock Songs, since many of these nine songs (eight on cassette) weren't exactly hits, and many aren't exactly "rock," either. Nevertheless, the featured songs -- including the Moody Blues' "Tuesday Afternoon," the Sir Douglas Quintet's "Mendocino," the Troggs' "Wild Thing," the Blues Magoos' "Pipe Dream," Keith's "98.6," the Velvet Underground's "Femme Fatale" and the Allmans' "Whipping Post" -- give a good feeling of what some rock and pop in the '60s sounded like. And that may be of interest to some casual consumers on a tight budget. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi
