Shougang Concord International trades in a variety of industries, although steel production is its bread and butter. Some 72% of revenues come from the manufacture of steel plates and products; it is also engaged in steel trading, electricity generation, kitchen and laundry equipment, and shipping operations. Shougang's steel production is handled through subsidiary Qinhuangdao Shougang Plate Mill, which rolls out more than 600,000 metric tons of steel plates annually. Its Shougang Shipping Group division operates time charter freight shipping, while Beijing Shougang Firstlevel Power Company generates electricity at its Beijing Power Plant. About 85% of Shougang's business is conducted in Hong Kong and China.
