Biography

Named after a street in their native Detroit, the R&B group 7 Mile comprised Luther "Squeaky" Jackson, Glynis "Lil' G" Martin, Seantezz "Tezz" Robinson and Deion "D" Lucas. Signing to Mariah Carey's short-lived Sony subsidiary Crave Records, the quartet issued their debut single "Just a Memory" in 1998; their self-titled debut LP followed later that same year. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide

The group 7 Mile was one of two groups (the other being Allure) signed to Mariah Carey's Crave Records. The group was composed of Luther "Squeaky" Jackson, Glynis "Lil' G" Martin, Seantezz "Tezz" Robinson and Deion "D" Lucas. They got their name from a street in their hometown of Detroit.

In 1998, the quartet released their first and only album, the self-titled 7 Mile. The album had two singles, "Just A Memory" and "Do Your Thing." "Do Your Thing" was the group's most successful track, reaching #12 on the R&B charts.
