Sci & Tech Chronology: In the year 725

Astronomy

English scholar the Venerable Bede [b. Jarrow, Durham, England, 673 or 672, d. Jarrow, c. 735] writes various works about this time. His famous Ecclesiastical History of the English People dates from 731, but his first version of a history of the world was probably composed about 704. Although most noted as a historian, Bede also writes about the calendar, the shape of Earth, and the tides, giving a correct account in each case.
