85386 Payton (provisional designation: 1996 OU2) is a main-belt minor planet. It was discovered at the Air Force Maui Optical and Supercomputing observatory near Haleakalā on the Hawaiian island of Maui on July 26, 1996. It is named after American football player Walter Payton.
