The 8ta network provides voice and data products and services over a unified 2G / 3G network.[2]
Recently, 8ta launched a promotional data package called Internet Promo 5 which is currently the cheapest wireless broadband offering in South Africa and is also cheaper than any fixed line broadband offering available in South Africa.[3] The price of the promotion is R199 for 10 GB of data and the network supports theoretical speeds of up to a maximum of 21.1 Mbit/s currently.
