Basically, after the black death had struck over England, the number of habitants in this country was at a lower rate than before. The peasants no longer had to share so much of their land with others. They could grow more crops and therefrom more money. Their luck soon died out but before this happened, they thought that they were strong and brilliant because they had survived this. Their will power was stronger and they were now no longer afraid to stand up to those higher in the hierarchy than themselves.
