Golliwogg's Cake-Walk is the 6th piece in the solo piano suite "Children's Corner" by Claude Debussy, completed in 1908. It is dedicated to Debussy's daughter Emma-Claude - known as "Chou-Chou" - who was three years old at the time.

It is believed that the piece is named after the Florence Upton Golliwogg books that Debussy's daughter had. In fact, when Children's Corner was first published by Durand it originally featured Claude Debussy's own drawing of Florence Upton's Golliwogg.

The "Golliwogg" (later "Golliwog") is a rag doll-like, children's literary character created by Florence Kate Upton in the late 19th century. The Golliwogg was inspired by a blackface minstrel doll Upton had as a child in America. At one point it was very popular in Europe and as a result has become a collector's item. However, the image of the doll has become the subject of heated debate.
