Layla Jade (born 1 October 1980[2] in Torquay, England) is a pornographic actress turned director and model.
Biography
Before her pornography career, Jade worked in a care home in a small seaside town in the county of Devon, England.[3] At the age of around 17 Layla made it her ambition to enter the adult industry.[citation needed] Her first adult movie was for Ben Dover entitled Ben Dover's Butt Bangers Bonanza on her 18th birthday.[2] Jade has said that she was not nervous before her first scene as it was something she had been waiting to do.[citation needed]
Layla Jade has appeared in several hundred films, as well as her own series on UK channel Television X. She has also appeared in several top-shelf magazines and was featured on the front cover of Hustler's Busty Beauties.
In 2000 Layla appeared alongside British pornstar Nadia, in the music video for Add N to X's single "Plug Me In".[4] In 2002 Jade became the star of Elegant Angel’s Buttwoman series.[2]
Jade is a published writer of erotic literature, and in 2003 she began writing a column for AVN Insider.[5] In the same year, she made her first appearance as a feature dancer in the United States.[6] In 2004 Jade hosted the KSEXradio Listeners’ Choice Awards.[7]
Jade briefly announced her retirement as a performer in 2007-2008, and subsequently closed her adult website. However, as of November 2008 she decided to return to the industry and shortly thereafter reopened her main website, as well as relaunching several of her other sites, including an adult pay-per-view movie theater as well as her own guide for men who want to get into the adult business as male performers.
Jade has described herself as bisexual.[2]
