Shelley Lubben is a former pornographic actress under the stage name of Roxy who became an activist against the pornography industry.[1]

Biography
In an interview with Deseret News, Lubben stated that she was sexually abused at the age of nine and was a prostitute in her late teens in order to support herself. She entered the adult industry, battled alcohol and drug addictions, and contracted herpes. Her story was featured in the documentary, Traffic Control.[1]
Lubben supported California legislator Charles Calderon on his efforts to tax the pornographic industry by speaking to lawmakers about her experiences.[2]
