Career

Hamilton graduated from the University of Nevada at Las Vegas in 1979 with a degree in theatre. After graduation, she spent time in England and pursued mainstream careers in both modeling and acting.[2]

It was after an unfortunate accident with a coffee urn, which scarred one side of her body, that she decided to make adult movies;[2] beginning in 1980 and continuing actively until 1984. Veronica Hart is best known for her performances in Amanda by Night, Roommates and A Scent of Heather. Today, she directs, edits and produces adult films, while making occasional (non-sexual) cameos in both mainstream and adult productions.[3]

Events in her life were the inspiration for the custodial problems of character Amber Waves in Boogie Nights (1997), directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. Veronica went on to play a judge in "Boogie Nights", appearing in the scene where Amber and her husband are arguing during a hearing about their son. Veronica would later appear in another Paul Thomas Anderson movie Magnolia.[2] [3]
