Plot

The plot of this Phoenix half-reeler is predicated on the notion that the tools of a doctor and piano tuner are inadvertently switched. Calling upon a patient suffering from "the grippe," the doctor opens his little black bag and produces a hammer, chisel, and screwdriver. Meanwhile, the piano tuner prepares to go to work on a baby grand with a thermometer and a stethoscope. By this time, the audience is either rolling in the aisles with laughter or writhing in agony. A Bad Case of Grippe was released on the same program as another comedy, July 4, 1910. ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
