A Different Kind of Truth Tour is a 2012 North American concert tour for hard rock band Van Halen. It is Van Halen's tour in support of their new album, A Different Kind of Truth.

History

On December 26, 2011, the official Van Halen website was updated announcing that tickets for the 2012 tour would be available starting January 10, 2012. Also on January 10, their first single, titled "Tattoo", premiered on radio stations. The band's new album from Interscope Records entitled A Different Kind of Truth was released on February 7.

Three warm-up shows were played at Cafe Wha? in New York City, Henson Studios in Hollywood, California, and The Forum in Inglewood, California.

The tour is being supported by Kool & the Gang, who is opening each show through the end of June.[1] Ky-Mani Marley was set to open each show starting with the July dates.[2]
