Review

Malcolm Holcombe is an acclaimed songwriter, however, his music doesn't hold up to the songs he has penned for A Far Cry From Here. The band lacks emotion offered by peers such as Wilco and Johnny Cash. However, Holcombe can paint a picture like few can. A sample: "There ain't a nickel in a solitary dime/That'll buy back anybody's love/Above us all longer arms keep reach' on down/And listenin' hard for ev'er honest word." ~ Christina Fuoco, Rovi
