Review

A Fistful of Rock N Roll, Vol. 8 features more punk and garage-rock from Victory artists such as Hammerlock, Throttlerod, the Space Cowboys, and the Hell Caminos. The whole collection is rough, raw, and ready, but the Teenage Frames' "Drug Power," the Lord High Fixers' "The Ongoing Saga of the Side Show Bob Syndrome," and Nebula's "Come Down" are among the sweatiest and raunchiest tracks here. Other standouts include Datsun's "Beauty and the Beast," the White Trash Debutantes' "Punk Rock Republican," and the Punk Rock Vatos' "Matinee Lady." Equally snarky and snarling, this collection may not break any new ground, but it's still enjoyable for fans of messy punk and garage. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
