Mike Ridley loves his fans, and it's obvious when attending a performance by the popular Michigan-based singer/songwriter that the feeling is most certainly mutual. To experience a live performance by Ridley is to be at a family reunion where the unpredictable uncle pulls out his guitar for some songs that will get everybody laughing and singing along. While the occasional risqué lyric may crop up from time to time, anything patently offensive is left to the comics more comfortable working blue. Whether parodying Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven," playfully riffing on local college fight songs, or focusing on the kind of localized humor that his audiences have come to expect, Ridley's enthusiasm is infectious and his style always relaxed.
