Eddie Bush is Hawaiian, and one wishes A Man and His Ukulele would stick to Hawaiian music. While his technique is phenomenal and he gets a lot out of his specially designed Ben Kamaka uke, "Malaguena" and "Holiday for Strings" are only slightly more welcome as uke performances than "Under the Double Eagle" and "Stars and Stripes." There is a "South Pacific" medley and a closing medley of three of the Hawaiian tunes most associated with non-Hawaiians. Arranger Ben Kalama (one of three, with Paul Mark and Bernie Hal-Mann) does sing "The Hands I Love."
