Plot

aka A Rose Among the Briars After the death of her drunken father, a factory girl (Jackie Saunders) follows her friend's advice and goes to work as a dancer in a cabaret. A young doctor falls in love with her and proposes, but she turns him down because she is uneducated. A crafty and well-heeled bachelor offers to take her home to his wife, who will supply her with an education -- but of course there is no wife, and he's planning to take advantage of the girl. She naively goes along with this plan, but is saved by a streetwise admirer, Spike. When Spike realizes she cares for the doctor, he sacrifices his own love and brings the two together.
