Plot

Manfred Wong directs this supernatural fantasy adventure flick. The film opens with a band of hapless campers fleeing for shelter from a freak rainstorm. Instead of running into masked psychopath totting a nailgun -- as might be expected in a opening of this ilk, Kot-yee (Joey Wang Tsu-hsein) encounters a Huang Zhin (David Wu Tai-wai), a Qing dynasty warrior who has come out of a 200-year-old sleep, and who is itching to find the princess he has been assigned to protect. Meanwhile, the princess, who was in a similarly prolonged slumber, gets discovered by a pair of bumptious electricians. Though the two time-travelers eventually reunite, they quickly learn that their nemesis, the Blood Devil, also made the leap. ~ Jonathan Crow, Rovi
