Review

The studio musicians Big Eye hired for their Tribute to Annie Lennox do an okay job replicating the singer's instrumentation, and the vocalist (or assorted vocalists; it's not really clear) is capable, if not always spot-on with the notes. This places the collection in the "For Fanatics Only" category, since it's not enjoyable enough as a standalone to warrant casual listening. The irrepressible "Walking on Broken Glass" is a relative highlight; a tacked-on, faux-industrial version of Eurythmics' "Sweet Dreams [Are Made of This]" is forgettable. ~ Johnny Loftus, All Music Guide
