Review
Adam Makowicz's original inspiration was Art Tatum. In fact, the classically trained pianist discovered jazz by hearing a Tatum record broadcast over the Voice of America in his native Poland. In 1997, he revisited his "roots" for this CD, performing 13 selections and a melody by Chopin in the style of Art Tatum, no easy feat.
