A Very Special Christmas, Vol. 4: Live continues the Very Special Christmas series, which benefits the Special Olympics. This volume was recorded live in Washington, D.C. and features performances by Mary J. Blige, Sheryl Crow, Run-D.M.C., Jon Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton, Vanessa Williams, and Tracy Chapman. Blige and Crow duet on "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree," while Bon Jovi performs two lovelorn holiday songs -- "Please Come Home for Christmas" and "Christmas, Baby Please Come Home." Clapton teams up with Chapman on a version of her hit "Give Me One Reason," and with Crow on "Merry Christmas Baby." Run-D.M.C. performs "Christmas in Hollis," and Vanessa Williams turns in a rendition of "What Child Is This." All the performers appear on the album's final song, "Santa Claus Is Coming to Town," representing this benefit album's spirit of goodwill and teamwork. ~ Heather Phares, Rovi
