American women have been fighting to attain all of the same constitutional rights guaranteed to men since this country was founded. This film traces the efforts of many of these brave women as they fought to secure voting rights for all female citizens. The steps leading up to the passage of the 19th Amendment are outlined, and leading suffragists like Abigail Adams and Susan B. Anthony are profiled.
