Review

Listening to Ireland speak from the heart is to hear a woman's voice. A Woman's Heart is a rare collection of Ireland's top female vocalists, including Maura O'Connell, Frances Black, Dolores Keane, Sharon Shannon, Eleanor McEvoy, and Mary Black...Each artist is famous in her own right and sings one of her signature pieces, such as Frances Black's "Wall of Tears" and "After the Ball," "Caledonia" by Keane and "Only a Woman's Heart," and "I Hear You Breathing In" by McEvoy. All the pieces have a contemporary sound to them, but all are unmistakably Irish to the core. ~ MusD, All Music Guide
