Hanna-Barbera's 50th: A Yabba Dabba Doo Celebration (also known as A Yabba Dabba Doo Celebration: 50 Years of Hanna-Barbera) is a 1989 live-action/animated special for television first aired on TNT hosted by Tony Danza and Annie Potts celebrating 50 years of William Hanna and Joseph Barbera's partnership in animation.
It covers their years working for the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer cartoon studio, and then the history of Hanna-Barbera Productions Inc., which was set up in 1957. It features clips and scenes from the studio's classic works along with new animated/live-action material and a behind the scenes on Jetsons: The Movie.
It was dedicated to the memory of Daws Butler, who died before or during this production and it was also the last television and film project of Mel Blanc, who died seven days before the special's telecast and a year after Butler. Turner Broadcasting System, which owned TNT, would later buy Hanna-Barbera in 1991.
