In the USA, the Peninsula District is one of the four districts in the AAA Eastern Region of the Virginia High School League. It consists of the public high schools in the cities of Hampton and Newport News, plus Gloucester High School in Gloucester County.
Schools in the Peninsula District are also divided into Divisions 5 and 6, for football competition within the AAA level. Division 5 schools are the smaller half of schools within the Peninsula District and the Eastern Region; and Division 6 schools consist of the larger half.
