Aamir Ali was born on September 1, 1979 in Mumbai, Maharashtra to an Ismaili Muslim father and mother from Mumbai, India.
Aamir began his schooling at St Anthony High School at Malad(West). He is an B. A. graduate of American University in Washington, DC, USA.
Aamir Ali is married his longtime girlfriend (Sanjeeda Sheikh) on 2 March 2012 after the courtship of nearly 7 years.
Aamir made his stint in Star Plus's Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii playing the role of Shruti's 2nd husband Sameer Kaul. Later he entered channel Sahara One's Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki to play the role of Rani's lookalike daughter Pari's husband, Soumya Parashar. He played a lead in Kya Dill Mein Hai by Balaji Telefilms. He participated in Nach Baliye 3 with his real life love, actress Sanjeeda Sheikh and on December 22, 2007 their pair won the Nach Baliye 3 championship against Rakhi Sawant and Abhishek Avasthi. Aamir Ali did a cameo in Sony's Kuchh Is Tara as Sikh man and Kamya's brother named Guru, a tapori who kidnaps Ayaan. Aamir Ali also worked in Bhaskar Bharti where he played the lead role Armaan which premiered on May 25, 2009 and concluded on December 17, 2009. He was also seen in Zara Nachke Dikha from May 1 to July 10, 2010. In F.I.R, he plays the character of Inspector Bajrang Pandey.
Aamir Ali's first ad was for Bajaj Scooters. He has done the ads for Nescafe, Ponds, Mahindra Rodeo(with Kareena Kapoor), Chevrolet, BSNL, Videocon D2H, State Bank of India etc.
