Industrivärden encourages investments in the industrious nature of Norsemen. Industrivärden is an industrial holding company that invests in medium- and large-sized Nordic companies. Investments include Handelsbanken (about 11%), Ericsson (about 13%), engineering equipment manufacturers Sanvik (about 12%), and paper products manufacturer SCA Group (just under 30%). The company advocates for active ownership of the companies in which it invests. Indutrade, a technical components, systems, and services supplier, is one of its wholly-owned subsidiaries. Industrivärden was established in 1944, when Ericsson was its sole original stock holding.
