Aba South is a Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the city of Aba, 05°06′N 07°21′E / 5.1°N 7.35°ECoordinates: 05°06′N 07°21′E / 5.1°N 7.35°E. [1].
It has an area of 49 km² and a population of 423,852 at the 2006 census.
