Plot

This Iranian drama, set in the 80's, depicts the depressing realities of life in Tehran, and yet contains an optimistic outlook as it tells the story of a cabdriver looking for his stolen car. Darvish and his family live amongst the other war refugees in Tehran. Their former home was the port of Abadan which was bombed during the war. He makes a scant living as a taxi-driver with a broken-down wreck of a car. One day that car is stolen and Darvish and his son Borna must find it. The search takes them into the shadiest areas of Tehran and they encounter scrap dealers and black marketeers.
