Abandonment Value

The value of a project or asset if it were immediately liquidated. Also referred to as the liquidation value.

Investopedia Says:
The abandonment value is generally a cash value, or equivalent, associated with an asset. This value is important for companies when analyzing the profitability of particular projects or assets and deciding whether they should be maintained.


 
 
Accounting Dictionary: Liquidation Value

Cash price or other consideration that can be received in a forced-sale of assets, such as that occurring when a firm is in the process of going out of business. Typically, the liquidation value is less than what could be received from selling assets in the ordinary course of business.
