Abbeyshrule (Irish: Mainistir Shruthla, meaning "Abbey of the stream"[1]) is located in south-east County Longford, Ireland, on the Royal Canal. There is an airfield near the village, is also located beside the Royal Canal.
The Abbeyshrule Aerodrome is located just outside the village alongside the Royal Canal.
Growing popular for midland business affairs, being geographically well situated, between major urban centres such as Athlone, Longford, Mullingar, permitting business swift access to Paris Beauvais.
