ABC HD is a national public television channel in Australia. It is available nationally to digital terrestrial and cable television viewers in Australia. The channel is a high definition simulcast of ABC1 Sydney. As a result, viewers outside of New South Wales see Sydney-based news bulletins and other localised content.

There have been some exceptions to this. During the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, ABC HD became a dedicated sports broadcaster, mirroring the dedicated coverage on ABC2 for most of the day. The 2009 VFL Grand Final was shown exclusively on ABC HD. At 7:30pm Fridays, ABC HD screens 7:30 Select instead of the NSW version of Stateline.
