ABC news reporter John Stossel takes a look at many of today's societal fears and tries to help viewers decide for themselves whether or not the media improperly frightens viewers in ways that influence the choices they make in their lives each day. He focuses on such topics as what really happened at Love Canal in regard to cancer cases and whether crime coverage is so overdone that people have become overly fearful of moving about in their own communities.
