ABC News: We Interrupt This Program

Plot

This is an ABC News documentary which covers three of the stories which interrupted TV programming over the last twenty years due to their major story status. The first is the Martin Luther King Jr. assassination on April 4, 1968; the second is the terrorist hijacking of the TWA Flight 847; and the final is the October 17, 1989, San Francisco earthquake. Using original news footage and bulletins, the program tries to convey the feelings of urgency and tragedy felt by the viewers at the time these stories happened. ~ Tana Hobart, Rovi
