Review

The second volume in the ABC's of Soul series covers the late 1960s, the era which laid the groundwork for funk and disco. The collection features Ike and Tina Turner ("Bold Soul Sister") and B.B. King (performing Howard Tate's "Ain't Nobody Home"), along with the Four Tops, the Pointer Sisters, Bobby "Blue" Bland, the Crusaders and Rufus with Chaka Khan. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
