Abdul Qadir Patel (Urdu: عبدالقادر پٹیل) (born August 8, 1968) is a Pakistani politician who represents the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in the National Assembly of Pakistan. He was elected as youngest parliamentarian in history of Pakistan at the age of 25.[1] He currently chairs Standing Committee on Interior in national assembly of Pakistan.[2]

Patel was born Memon Society Hospital Lyari Town[3] in a prominent Kutchhi family in Karachi on August 8, 1968. He is the eldest child of former BD Chairman Keamari Town Hussain Patel. He started working at the age of fifteen at tire puncture shop. He attended his education from K.P.T secondary school located at Keamari Town of Karachi city then he attended his higher education from Urdu college and in 1991 obtained his B.A. degree from Federal Urdu University Karachi.[2][4] He got married with daughter of senior parliamentarian Haji Wali Muhammad Jamot [5]
Patel was entered in professional politics in his young age as a youngest member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in 1993 at the age of twenty five which was minimum requirement by election commission of Pakistan from Lyari Town and his career in politics took him to higher grounds when he elected to the 13th National Assembly of Pakistan in February 2008 from NA-239 (Karachi-I) Kemari Town seat in general election on a Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) ticket. He appears in political talk shows in Pakistan as representative of the Pakistan Peoples Party. He has been associated with different departments and ministry of Government of Pakistan such as department of ports and shipping,[6] foreign affairs,[7][8] railways,[9][10] labour,.[11] He is currently serving as member national assembly of Pakistan as well as chairman standing committee on Interior in national assembly of Pakistan.[12][13]
Patel played the vital role in peacekeeping in Karachi especially in Kiamari Town, Lyari Town .[14]
