Abellio operates public transport services in Europe, with both bus and rail networks. It was formerly called NedRailways and is the international arm of the Nederlandse Spoorwegen, the Dutch national railway operator.

Abellio runs the Probo Bus network in the Czech Republic.
Abellio operates several regional railway lines in the German state of Northrhine-Westfalia as well as owning several bus companies throughout Germany, through Abellio Deutschland.
Abellio owns the bus companies Abellio London and Abellio Surrey, who operate bus services in the South East of the UK.
Abellio won the Greater Anglia Rail Franchise in October 2011. They have branded it Greater Anglia and have operated it since the 5th of February 2012.[1] They also operate the Northern Rail and Merseyrail franchises, both 50-50 owned with Serco through Serco-Abellio.[2]
Abellio has also been shortlisted by the DfT for the InterCity West Coast Mainline franchise.[3] They previously bid for both the South Central & West Midlands rail franchises which were instead won by Govia.
