Abez (Hebrew: אבץ, meaning "tin", "white", or alternatively "academic") was a town in the allotment of the tribe of Issachar (Joshua 19:20), at the north of the Jezreel Valley, or plain of Esdraelon. It is probably identified with the ruins of el-Beida.[disambiguation needed
