Abi-albon (Hebrew "father of strength"[1], "valiant") was one of David's body-guard of thirty mighty men (2 Samuel 23:31); also called Abiel (1 Chronicles 11:32).
Notes
- ^ According to the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia (1915), the "father of strength" reading is a conjecture by Gesenius, based on an Arabic stem.
