Ablaye Cissokko is a Senegalese musician, a kora player.
His show called "Le Griot Rouge" (the same name as his second album) talks about the legend of the man who created the kora. During this performance, Cissoko transmits the values of a generous tradition and sings about peace and respect for others.
His 2006 tour passed through Portugal, France, Belgium, Senegal and Mali. His latest album Sira has been well reviewed and currently is no. 2 in the college radio world music charts. A feature-length documentary about Cissoko is in post-production.
