According to the United States Census Bureau, Aboite Township covers an area of 33.29 square miles (86.2 km2); of this, 33.26 square miles (86.1 km2) (99.92 percent) is land and 0.03 square miles (0.078 km2) (0.08 percent) is water.
Fort Wayne incorporated approximately 12 square miles (31 km2) of Aboite territory effective January 1, 2006.[2]
The township contains these two cemeteries: Covington Memorial Gardens and Oak Grove.
