Biography

Absaraka got its start in 1999 as a means to let out their small-town angst. On top of playing a set list of covers that ranged from Black Sabbath and Pink Floyd to Metallica, Rob Zander (guitar/vocals), Bryan Lange (bass), and Alister Roat (drums) began writing their own material with a lyrical content that basically dealt with why they wanted to move out of their native Dickinson, ND. All of this was eventually captured on their self-titled full-length in 2000. ~ Mike DaRonco, Rovi
