Biography

Finnish death metal band Absurdus was formed in Helsinki in late 1992, comprising singer/guitarist Aki Martinkauppi, guitarists Juha Moilanen and Vicious Similä, bassist Taneli Nyholm and drummer Matti Roiha. Recording their first demo Under the Never Setting Sun the following year, Absurdus issued another demo, Flames, in 1994; finally landing at Candlelight Records, they resurfaced in 1998 with the full-length No Heaven in Sight. ~ Jason Ankeny, All Music Guide
